Day 3 of the New Year, I was...

Sick...so very sick. I hit me about 5am yesterday morning. Oh how I hate the flu, so very much. The first time I got sick wasn't too bad. There was at least something in my stomach to get sick for the most part. But 7am...not at all. I was dry heaving like no other. That is definitely the worst. My stomach hurt so freaking bad. I am sure Skylar was wondering what the hell was going on. I couldn't keep anything down - water, nothing. It was terrible. And the cramps! They were horrible. It was enough to double me over. It was out of control.

Eli got up and said that he and the kids were going to get out of the house so that I had some quiet time and could rest. He said that I am sick because I am always over doing. Whatever. While he was showering, I got the kiddos dressed and ready for their outing with their dad...they were stoked. Swae was hugging on my belly and she looked up at me all worried. I asked her what was wrong and she goes, "Baby Skylar isn't as big as she was yesterday, she is smaller. Are you OK???" I thought she was going to start crying. I let her know that Baby Skylar was in fact fine and still moving all around, it was just me that didn't feel good. How incredible is it that a 6 year old pays that much attention to her little sister that she could tell my belly had changed size? That little girl is constantly blowing my mind. She has a heart of gold and is just a love.

After they left, I heaved some more and was just in so much pain. I kept putting water and sprite in me though because I didn't want to get dehydrated. And I slept for a few hours, which I must have needed. Even with being sick, I didn't like at all being away from my family. I felt so much like I was letting them down being so down and out. When they finally got home, I felt better just knowing they were around. They both tip toed to the bedroom door and when they saw that I was awake ran to the bed to give me loves and tell me all about their time with their dad.

I finally jumped in the shower at 5pm and it took all my energy to get through that. I spent the rest of the evening shacked up on the couch resting but still close to my loved ones. Once the kids were all tucked in and sleeping, Eli tucked me in and tickled my back until I fell asleep.

Today I woke up feeling so much better than yesterday, however I am still not 100%. I get worn out very easy. Little things make me light headed and dizzy, I don't have much of an appetite, and just don't have near the energy that I normally do. So it looks like today is going to be another day of just taking it easy. I hope to make it through my laundry at least. The kid are enjoying playing with all their loot from Christmas. I am just hoping that with a down day today, tomorrow I will be back to 100%.
