Today has been one of the most wonderful, memorable days ever. I had my 'family' baby shower. I have been to baby showers before, but never my own. I didn't realize how overwhelming the whole experience is. I mean, everyone was there for me and my baby. It was the greatest feeling in the world. So much love, so great to be surrounded by my family and people that I love.
My MIL hosted it and she did a terrific job. She really is awesome at putting parties together. The food was excellent, the games were fun, and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. there was a whole slew of presents. It took me forever to get through them.
Swae had an absolute ball. She was so damn excited and literally loved every single minute of it. She was quite the helper during present time and was sure to take the things she liked best around the room so everyone could see and feel. That little girl just melts my heart. She is already the best big sister ever.
I had family in from California, my cousin that lives in Michigan now even flew in! I mean, everyone was there - other than my grandma because she is really sick. It was so nice. And the women on Eli's side were there and everyone met and were mingling together. It was just...perfect.
I have a ton of pictures to show, but will have to post them when I am back at work. I am excited to start doing laundry. I got the cutest clothes...and little sockies, and booties, and hats. Ugh, baby stuff is just so cute!!! And to think, I have another one coming up with all my friends!! I can't wait! :)

That is so exciting! I've realized there are certain times in your life that you really get to see how many people love you. It's a really cool feeling.

The best part about it is that right now all the stuff is in it's packaging...but pretty soon you will be using it all when Skylar is here!! Yay!!!!!

That sounds wonderful, sweetie! I'm glad that things went smoothly. I heart baby showers...seeing all of those miniature shirts, pants, and pastel colors stirs my maternal instincts. ;)
Ooh I can't wait to see pictures. i love little baby stuffs. Although I will tell you, baby socks are the bane of my existence. I can never find matching ones. They get lost so easily.
