Maternal Instinct

Last night when we got home, I could tell that Seth wasn't feeling well. He mentioned that his tummy hurt, but then he went poop and I thought that would have been what was causing his little tummy to hurt. We tucked him into bed and that was that.

Almost two hours later, I heard him call my name. He wasn't crying, it wasn't abnormal, but I still RAN into his room. I knew that he was going to get sick. I picked him up and asked him and he shook his head yes. Into the bathroom we ran just in time for him to throw up everything in his small little tummy. Eli was upstairs in a second and we were both there to comfort the little man.

It was the strangest feeling ever. I just knew I needed to hurry and be there for him. I knew what was coming.

I brought him into bed with us for half the night. He was really restless and about 2 he told me he was hungry. So I figured he would do better in his own bed. He loves his space and I think our bed is too hot for him. Most of our night wasn't good. This morning he did great though and was able to make it to daycare which was good.

Then tonight, he has been kind of out of it. After dinner he was really lethargic and I picked him up and sure enough, he got sick again. Poor little man. I'm not sure what is going on or if he is fighting something, but I feel bad for him when he is emptying his tummy. It is like it comes and goes...not like the full on flu. It's the strangest thing. We will see how the rest of the night goes and what the morning brings. Poor little man!

Awww, poor guy. I hate when kids get sick. It's the absolute worst. :( I hope he gets to feeling better soon.

Z had a stomach bug the other night, too.
