Beautiful Day

Thursday's usually start out a little rough for me. It is an early morning with having to get Swae and Seth up, dressed, and ready for their mom to pick up by 7:30am. I try to leave a little extra time so I can snuggle them before sending them on their way, but it never makes it easier. And it is so sad when Skylar tries to hurl herself out the door after them. It doesn't matter where Swae moves her to, she books it to the door and just looks after them like "where are you guys going???" It's pretty sad.

Today turned out to be a good day. My little princess and I snuggled up a bunch and we played. And then I decided that we didn't need to be in the house anymore and should go on a walk. I bundled up Skylar and put some layers on myself and away we went. Today was gorgeous. It was bright and sunny. It wasn't super warm, but it wasn't freezing cold either. The walk was wonderful. It was so nice to be out. I didn't really know where we were headed, just was going. We ended up being gone for two and a half hours. Skylar loved it and didn't complain at all. She just looked around at everything and would talk to me and whatever else she saw. We stopped at the park for about a half an hour. At first Skylar wasn't sure about it and wanted to be held. But after going down the slide a couple times and her seeing the other kids playing, she was good to go. She LOVED the swings. She laughed and laughed. She liked going down the slide - she needs help though or else she would fall backwards. She smiled pretty much the entire time we were there.

It was so nice to be out. So nice to spend the time with my little angel. It makes me so excited for summer, so excited for the adventures that we have ahead of us. Oh and I got some great pictures that I will definitely be sharing soon!

An Update on My 3 Angels!

Every day I realize that I have so much to be happy for. With three incredible children, I don't know how it could get any better.

Swae is turning into such a beautiful, smart, talented, caring young lady. She excels in everything that she does, especially school. She is one of the top readers in her class. In fact, she loves to read. Just last night she read for her homework and then proceeded to bring down a handful of books and read most of the night. She is a wonderful speller as well. It actually completely boggles my mind the things that she is able to spell on her own. And she actually loves to do math and is good at it. She also works with Seth on addition - super cute to listen to! She is honestly the best big sister that Seth and Skylar could ever ask for. She never gets frustrated with either one of them. She will put both of their needs before her own. She is always looking out for them, playing with them, and doing anything and everything to help me with them. I am so incredibly proud of her. I love snuggling with her, doing her hair, painting her nails and toes, playing, laughing...absolutely everything. Swae is a beautiful girl and so very special. She has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known.

The man of the house is getting awfully big himself. Seth is growing like a weed. I look at him and am so often blown away with how tall he is getting, how he continues to look more and more like his dad. He is still obsessed with cars, trucks, motorcycles, jet ski's, quads...anything that he knows his dad loves. His intelligence blows my mind. The other day he was playing with his legos and he came to me all excited to show me what he made. I couldn't believe what I saw. And then he showed me the paper that he had looked at to make it. INSANE! He is definitely all boy. He loves to play rough and wrestle. Yet, he is quite the little snuggle bug. The last couple weeks, the only thing he has asked me to do is snuggle. I cherish every moment of it because you never know when he might get to the point that snuggling isn't "cool" anymore. He adores Swae and looks up to her. He wants to learn like her, do the "big kid" things that she does. It is the cutest thing to watch. He is a great big brother to Skylar as well. He might be a little rough with her at times, but he does take good care of her. He loves to play with her, wants to cuddle with her, protect her, teach her new things. Seth is such a smart little boy, such a love. He loves adventure, being outdoors and is just the greatest son we could ever ask for.

Skylar is coming up on a year. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every day is something different, something fun. The little girl is learning like crazy. She is absolutely beautiful. She is a tiny thing. I'm pretty sure that she isn't even 19 pounds. Very petite this little girl is. When I watch her walk, I can't help but think that she is just too little, too small to be walking. Speaking of walking, Skylar walks just to be walking. She walks in circles around the living room. She will walk down the hall and back just because she can. She loves toys that she can push around. Even more so, she loves the toys with music so she can dance and shake her little booty. She is constantly babbling and trying to say more and more words. She is just so much fun. She also eats EVERYTHING. And that is no joke. She eats asparagus, artichokes, peas, carrots, broccoli, chicken, beef, pastas. We are blessed to not have a picky eater on our hands. While there are so many more things that I want to say, I will wait until her big, special day.

This my friends is why I have been so absent lately. I have been truly enjoying and soaking up every minute I can with all three of these sweet angels. I am definitely catching up though on my reading and figuring out what is going on with all of you. I have noticed though that there are a couple blogs that won't let me comment...super weird and definitely frustrating! Oh and since I am so far behind, I am not commenting on everyone. But once I get caught up, I plan on commenting much for frequently.

I hope you all have a wonderful, happy Thursday!

Looking for Suggestions!

First, we need to buy Miss Skylar a new car seat and I am wondering what suggestions all you mommy's have. Looking for safety and for her to be comfortable for sure! I would really appreciate some help.

Also, we are starting to introduce whole milk. Lucky for us, she loves it. She still loves drinking from me though as well. In a couple weeks, I will be weaning her completely. This makes me sad and yet so very excited at the same time. And well, scared. I don't want to feel the pain of being engorged while trying to dry up. What helps with the pain!?!!

Sad Day

The little Miss has another ear infection. It didn't start as one at all. For about the last week, she has had a runny, stuffy nose and a congested cough. But over the weekend, she seemed to start getting worse. She started having a hard time sleeping...really restless. So I called this morning, they got her in and an ear infection is the result. The good thing is that we are catching it early. So that is nice. I'm just hoping the meds kick in quick and my baby girl starts feeling better again very soon!!

11 Months Old - Mommy's Girl!

Sweet Skylar,

Another month has passed and you just keep on growing. You keep on learning and trying new things. This past month has been incredible with you. Two weeks before your 11 month birthday you decided to walk. And it wasn't just a couple steps. You took at least 8. The best part: both your Daddy and I got to witness it! It was the most wonderful thing. Your Daddy (the tough guy that he is!) teared up and couldn't stop kissing you and telling you how proud he was of you. We both were. You were all about showing off once you figured out how much attention you got from walking! Within two weeks, you are insanely all over the place. You definitely seem to prefer walking over crawling.

Your personality is also growing. You are hilarious and are always cracking us up. You make the cutest, funniest facial expressions ever. If anyone laughs at you, you will repeat yourself. Already the comedian. You don't just have a sense of humor. You have quite the little attitude already. Boy are you a stubborn little thing. I have heard that you take after me. You for sure have figured out how to throw a fit. I am sure it isn't right for me to laugh, but there are times that I am unable to help it.

You love to snuggle and will lay your head on me when I ask you to snuggle me. You make kissing noises. You try to say "thank you". You wave when people say 'hello' and 'good bye'. You love to talk on the phone. Just a couple weeks ago, you actually kissed the phone while talking to your big sister. You love taking out every single DVD. You love drinking Grandma's iced tea from a straw. You love big people food - especially pancakes - just like your brother and sister. And boy do you adore your brother and sister. You find every single thing they do amusing and they can both get you laughing like no one else can!

It makes me sad to think that in just a month, you will be one. You already are so independent and so big. You are growing up so fast. It is so exciting and a little sad all at the same time. I love all the adventures we have to look forward to, watching you grow, learn. But it is sad that you aren't a little baby anymore. You will however always be my little baby girl. Age will never change that.

Mommy loves you sweet girl! I love you with all my heart. I love absolutely every little thing about you and spending every minute I spend with you. I want to bottle up every moment, every memory, every facial expression, every smile, every hug. I will forever adore you sweet girl.

I love you!

Love,
Mommy

It's Her Special Day!

I want to wish my friend, Megan, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Megan is one of the sweetest, nicest, big hearted people I have ever known in my life. I have enjoyed reading her blog and getting to know her over the past few years. She is such a great person and she makes me want to be like her. She is a great friend and now a great mother. You should definitely check out how crazy cute her precious little boy is!
