My sweet little precious girl now rolls from her front to back AND back to front. I am so impressed. I mean, I knew this would happen, but had no idea that it would happen already. Seriously! I feel like I just had her. I watch shows and see little infants and squeeze her that much closer realizing how fast the time is going. It blows me away. I have to strap her into everything now. The other day within 30 seconds she was turned over in her swing. Good thing I was watching her or that could have been some serious bad news!!! Ugh, I am so in love with her. Skylar has completely changed my world even more than it already was from the other two.
The past week Skylar has gotten really bad acid reflux. The poor little girl. I can see/tell how much pain she is in and it absolutely breaks my heart. I cry...I cry with her when she is hurting. Today we went to the doctor. She started meds over the weekend, but I took her in to double check. She said it shouldn't take much longer for it to get under control and her to be feeling better. I hate that she is in pain and I hate that there is nothing that I can do to take the pain away. It hurts her to be laying down, so she hasn't wanted to be put down much at all. This doesn't allow me to get hardly anything done. Tonight she seems to be better than she was this morning and supposedly she should be getting better from here on out. I hope so because I can't handle much more of the hurt cry...especially coming from a baby that NEVER cried before!!!
Skylar is in L-O-V-E with her brother and sister. She lights up when they are here and is different already on the weekends that they are with their mom. Lately though, Swae and Seth have been asking to talk to Skylar when we call them and you should see the smiles that light up her face when she hears the sound of their voice on the other end of the phone. It is by far one of the cutest things I have ever seen in my entire life. They are the joys of my life that is for sure.
I have lagged at this blogging thing since Disneyland, but will (again!!!) be making my comeback!

We're Back!!!
And I have my hand full. But we had an amazing time. It was awesome. To see the kids faces for their first airplane ride, to see them light up when they realized we were at Disneyland...PRICELESS!!! I can't wait to upload the pictures and fill you all in. But we are busy today getting laundry done and getting back on normal time and schedule. So it might have to wait until later today or tomorrow.
ALSO.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My dad is my hero and I love him so much. He has been the best father and I can always rely on him for any and everything. He is one of my most bestest friends and I can't wait to see him tonight and give him a hug and celebrate his special day. :)
Yesterday was a bit of a hard day. It sucked leaving the happiest place on Earth, but it was also my Papa's birthday who passed a few years ago. I miss him each and every day and lately he has been more and more on my mind. I think it is because the wedding is drawing near and it pains me to know that he won't be there in person. I know he will be there is spirit, but I would have loved for him to have been here for such a special event, to see all three of our babies, to see what a great family we have. I just miss him and I love him very much.

It's Official
I have lost my freaking mind. I am spacing things and forgetting everything. I don't know what the hell is going on. On top of that, I am a tad on the emotional side. It's terrible. I hate this feeling. I feel like I am failing as a wife and a mom. Eli is assuring me otherwise, yet I can't help but still have that in the back of my head. I wish that everything would come together and get back on track so I am not such a spacey freaking airhead! Ugh!!!!!
The bridal shower was absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous and fun and relaxing and perfect. I didn't use my camera at all, so I don't have any pictures. There were two there and I will be getting the CD's and then will post the pictures. I got a ton of fun things and think that the kitchen and I will be getting better acquainted. Skylar was definitely the Belle of the day and got passed around like crazy. Everyone is completely in love with her. I don't blame them a bit!!!
The last two days the babies and I have gone to Wild Waters. Yesterday was their first time. They had an absolute blast and were eager to get up this morning and go again. The only time they came out of the water was to eat. And they weren't even finished chewing before they were asking to go back in. I did have them wait a little bit and took that time to lube them up with sun block yet again. I didn't want my babies getting sun burnt. Sethie is still too short to go on the big tube rides, but not Swae. And she ate it up. That sweet girl is a total adrenaline junkie. It's awesome. Skylar was wonderful both days. She looked adorable in her bathing suits. She wasn't so sure about the cool water, but today we sat in the kiddie pool and she didn't mind being splashed or when the waves would come up to almost her chin. She is such a doll. She is just as tired as the other two tonight. I'm looking forward to a good nights sleep.
Tomorrow we have an early morning to get the babies to daycare. And then I will be running around like crazy and getting everything in order for our trip. I am so excited. We leave tomorrow night and will return on Monday afternoon. I can't wait. I think I need to get away. It will be nice to get away from the stress and wedding planning...just everything. I have so much going on that it is no wonder my mind can't focus on one thing for more than three minutes!
Ok, there is a quick update. I will be sure to post pictures when we get back from our wonderful trip. I am making sure my memory card is completely clear. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will catch up with you all when we return!

Tomorrow!
Is my bridal shower. I am so excited!!!
I have no idea what I am going to wear. I can't decide between maybe a dress, carpi's and a cute top, or jeans and a cute top.
I spent part of tonight helping my family prepare. They are all putting so much time and effort into it and I have no doubt it is going to be beautiful and fun. There is definitely going to be super yummy food. I will be going with an appetite! I hear that the weather is going to be nice and for that I am super excited.
I am excited for fun time with family and my closest friends. I'm excited to think that the wedding is just a little over a month away. I can't believe it is so close. After all this time of planning and having a baby...it is almost here. So freaking stoked!!
Oh!!! And! We leave on our FAMILY VACATION this Thursday! I am way super excited. The kids are beyond excited. The kids know that we are going on vacation, but they have no idea where we are going. Eli and I are so very excited to see their faces and how they light up when they see all that is in store for them!

Sicky
I'm not sure what was up with today, but I felt like absolute crap for most of it. It actually started through the night with a horrible bad headache. I woke up and hopped in the shower and once out got sick. I got ready and was feeding Skylar and had to pull her off to go to the bathroom and get sick again. I then got sick one other time. And the whole time, my head was pounding. It took til early afternoon for me to start really feeling like a human again. I still don't feel 100%, but I am feeling better and not getting sick anymore. I don't know what that was all about, but I hate throwing up!
Skylar and I spent most of our day at the shop with Eli. He was wonderful today and babied me! He has to work tonight in a few hours, so I am going to just hang out and chill and probably call it an early night.
I hope everyone had a great Friday!

Stupid Thursday's
I'm not a huge fan of Thursday's. More so, Thursday morning. Why you all ask? Because I have to take the babies to daycare. I hate it...they hate it. Every other week is especially hard because we don't see them until Tuesday since they are with their mom every other weekend. That is a long time to go without seeing your precious little ones. Things are so incredibly different around the house and we miss them terribly.
When school was in, we had a little bit more time in the morning. But now we are getting up an hour to an hour and a half earlier and it has made our mornings a little bit more tough. The kids don't at all enjoy getting up that early. Before, they would almost wake up on their own every week. But not now. I have to wake them up. And not just them, Skylar too. She doesn't like early morning! She sleeps in til at least 8! (she will feed between 6-7 and then go right back to sleep) We have our time in the morning, but it is just hard dropping them off.
They were very fortunate this morning and were able to see their dad for a few before he left for work. But usually that isn't the case. They always, ALWAYS ask to call him on their way to school. Every day they like to call him and I am quick to give them the phone. I think that is so very important for the.
Sethie was super clingy this morning when I dropped them off. He always says he wants to stay with me. And Swae...wasn't thrilled at all about being there but was a bit more excepting since she had a field trip this afternoon. I made sure to snuggle on them extra before leaving. I hope they know how much Eli and I miss them when they aren't with us.

Who Needs a Job
Truthfully, I am a million times busier now than when I was working full time. I find myself so often wondering where the heck the hours in the day have gone. I had people that were worried that I would be bored not working. HAHAHAH! Bored?! No such luck. I am constantly on the go. Let me just give you a glimpse of my days since Thursday of last week.
Thursday:
Drop our babies off at daycare by 8am. Rush home to shower and have a little girl that is 6 weeks younger than Skylar dropped off before 10 (I watch her about three times a week for a few hours each time). Eli and I went shopping for Swae's birthday presents. Were home long enough to unload the car and then rush to horseshoes (he plays in a league). Get home after 8 and have to eat dinner and get Skylar bathed and to bed.
Friday:
Up early to get ready and pick Kara up from the airport at 9:30. Go to Starbucks, go see Tara, go look for shoes for the wedding (yes, I am a slacker!!!). Then I rushed home to get my house clean and set up for Swae's party. Ran to the store to get a few last minute things then back home to unload. Ran to pick up cupcakes and then kids from their mom by 5. Hurry home for party at 5:30. People left around 8. My cousin stayed the night with the babies.
Saturday:
Up relatively early, breakfast, play, get ready. Go to my little sister's graduation, then straight to her graduation party. Didn't get home til after 9. Then we let the kids watch a movie since we didn't make it to the drive-in like we had wanted to.
Sunday:
Up super early to get babies ready for Swae's birthday. Had a good breakfast, opened presents, pictures and then they were picked up at 10. Eli decided we should have a BBQ, so we got house ready for that. Got us ready, went to store, people started showing up. People didn't leave til 10pm.
Monday:
Finally slept in a bit...hahaha, if you could call it that when you are up to feed a little one a couple times. Watched the little girl for a few hours and managed to unload dishwasher even while she was here. She is a little...needy. Cleaned my downstairs since it was thrashed from the BBQ. Got ready and then went to the ladies dinner thing and got home late.
Today:
Up early to pick up our babies from their mom at 7:30. Picked up my cousin at 8. Got ready, went to lunch at the shop so the babies could spend some extra time with their daddy, home to watch the other little girl, grocery store, home to cook and do laundry, dinner, and then bath and get kiddos ready for bed.
I'm telling you...NONSTOP! I don't have a chance at all to get bored. Hell, I have to stay up late just to get some computer time (yes, it is almost 11 and I am dragging ass!).
I have to be honest and say that I don't miss my job at all. Not at all. I miss...my office, my time to do my stuff on the computer, some of the social-ness, and a few of the people. I don't at all miss the pettiness, the drama, the young needy, jealous girls. I adore being able to spend all my time with Skylar and as much time as possible with Swae and Seth. I find myself super sad on the weekends that we don't have them. Sad enough to bring tears to my eyes. I feel lost without them. Skylar misses them. She loves them so much and lights up every single time they walk in the room and talk to her. It is the cutest thing. I am starting to realize Eli's pain when they aren't here. It isn't at all fun to feel.
I am beyond thankful to be able to stay home. I appreciate Eli and his hard work, long hours, early mornings, late night jobs. Without that, I wouldn't be in the position that I am. I am and will forever be grateful to him and for him allowing me to have this wonderful experience and watch Skylar grow and spend the quality time that I do with Swae and Seth. He isn't missing out either, we are always at the shop for him to be with our babies as well!

HATE Huggies
Huggies suck. I absolutely HATE them. I'm definitely all about the Pampers. However, I got a bunch of Huggies as gifts. I finally got to the stack of Huggies that I received in a diaper cake. In two days, there have been three blow outs and completely leaked out. Skylar has had a few blow outs with Pampers, but nothing at all like the ones the last couple of days. I am just so disappointed. And definitely sick of doing laundry with crap all over her clothes.
I have another HUGE pack of Huggies that is unopened. One of my friends said I could take them to Walmart without a receipt and exchange them for Pampers. Is that true???
Has anyone else had this problem??

BBQ Pesto Chicken w/Veggies
I was invited Monday night to a "girls" dinner with a friend. I was hesitant to go. It was a group of people I didn't know and I am never super eager to do things like that. But, I went. I figured it would be good for me (and Skylar) to go be around other moms and kids. And I am super glad I did go. This group of girls started doing a monthly thing where they all get together at someone's house. Whoever is hosting cooks a meal, from scratch and gives the recipe. And it rotates. It is a night each month that these ladies get to look forward to. Enjoy some company, get the kiddos together, and eat something new.
I am so glad that I went. These ladies were fun. While they were different from my close friends, they were still great girls and the kids fun to be around. The best part, the FOOD! The hostess cooked this pasta salad, did a BBQ pesto chicken with veggies and made dessert. I was floored. She not only had a six month old, but works as well. That was when it hit me that I need to be a better wife and cook better meals. Oh!!!! The dessert she made...strawberry cream pie. Ugh, it was phenomenal! The time I spent, although just a couple hours, was great. I walked out of there refreshed and feeling great. And I was certain I wanted to recreate that meal on my own.
And that is what I did tonight. But just the chicken part. It is super easy. All you need is some chicken (the hostess used chicken with bones, I used breasts), roma tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, red bell pepper and pesto. I didn't have time to make the pesto, so I bought it.
The yummy looking veggies after being washed. I have to say that I never eat squash or zucchini, but the way this turns out, I love them both!
I then sliced all of them up.
I then trimmed all the grossness off the chicken. I am super picky about that. Then I cut up enough pieces of tin foil for the amount of chicken I was making.

You place a piece of chicken on the tin foil, put 2 tablespoons of pesto on it, and place the veggies on it as well. Then you fold the tin foil over and seal the edges. Be sure to leave some room for expansion. Just place on the BBQ on medium heat for 20-25 minutes or until juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut into.
Small World
First let me start by reminding all of you that I have lived in my house for over a year. And!!! The neighbors across the street all moved in the end of last summer, early fall - so almost a year ago now. I will also tell you that I haven't been at all outgoing about meeting my neighbors. I talk regularly to the ones to my right, but that is because the husband is ALWAYS outside and they have a cute dog that the babies adore. I have talked to another couple, but I can count those encounters on one hand. Oh and the house directly across the street, I have talked to the woman that is living there temporarily (she is the guy's mom) while she was outside smoking and letting the dogs go to the bathroom...the kids were outside and had to go pet the dogs. Ok, on to what I was getting at.
Yesterday, my dad stopped by to see little Skylar on his way home. I was standing at his work van when the guy from directly across the street comes over and says hi to my dad. It was then that I realized my neighbor is no stranger. In fact, he is someone that I have grown up with my entire life!!!! My dad coached him in baseball back in the day, his sister used to babysit me. And only did we realize we knew each other from my dad stopping by because neither one of us had recognized each other from the quick passings we've had.
How freaking insane is that?!

3 Month Princess (6-6-09)
And it has been the best three months of my life! Skylar, you are absolutely and utterly amazing. One look at you in the morning and I shrug off my sleepiness and just want to savor every second of just having you near me. This month you started laughing. You don't do it all the time, but when you do, it is the sweetest noise in the world. You are constantly kicking your arms and legs and you love, love, love putting your fingers (and entire hand) in your mouth. You are incredibly strong. You are able to stand and hold your own weight while just hanging on to my fingers. You truly amaze me. You are close to rolling over. You get right to the point where just a touch more and you would roll, but instead you roll yourself the other way. You love your swing and are amazed the little animals you see hanging. You also love your little activity mat. When I first started laying you on it, you just stayed in one spot. Now, within just a couple minutes you are side-ways or upside down...all over the place pretty much. You still love your bath. Your new thing is kicking and splashing while in the bath. You don't mind at all getting water in your face. I still find myself staring at you - a lot. I love to watch you sleep and love when you dream your sweet little dreams and you smile. You have a beautiful smile. Your smile makes everything right in the world. I love everything about you. You are getting so big, so chunky. You definitely eat very well. Your little cheeks are filling out and your thighs...they are getting rolls and thick. I just love it. You are ticklish I have found - on your inner thighs and your sides. You are so fun. I realized the other day with some sadness that you are getting big, that you are no long just a little infant. Yes, you are still little, but time is passing so quickly and you are no longer the small button I held three months ago. You are the bigger, chunkier version. I miss you being that small, but love the little personality that you already have.
This past month you went on your first road trip (4 hours). You did amazing. You would have slept the entire way had I not woken you up to feed you. You spent two full days watching your dad and Papa shoot and did fabulous. I was worried how you would do with all the shooting, but it didn't bother you at all and didn't keep you from napping either. You are such a good little girl. You also went on your first camping trip. Again, you were fabulous. Even with the night being freezing cold, you slept just fine and were a little trooper. I even put your little feet in the cold lake water. You didn't like the cold, but it was a fun experience.
You still love your mommy and still have plenty of moments where only mommy will do. I can't even begin to express how much I love that. I love to snuggle you. I just love you Skylar, with every ounce of my being.

Happy 7th Birthday Angel Princess!!!
I can't believe that another year has come and gone already! Our sweet little girl is no longer a first grader, but a very happy second grader! This past year it has been so wonderful watching her grow and learn so many new things. Swae loves school. She is excellent in math and is quite the little speller. She loves to write. Her latest is writing things that she loves about her sister, daddy, brother, and me. Swae loves life, always is smiling and having a great time, enjoys the outdoors and is an overall wonderful little girl! 7 years old today. WOW!!!
Here she is this morning eating her pancakes.
Excited to open up some presents!
Sethie enjoying his "pamcakes". Don't you just love the spiked hair?
