Happy Halloween!

And what a perfect one it is!!! When you have a 3 year old and 6 year old that are beyond thrilled, it is hard not to be excited and ready to celebrate. We wanted them to be wide awake for trick-or-treating, so they took a little nap...one that they didn't even fight. Maybe it was because I crawled in bed with them and snuggled them up tight. Oh how I love that!! Then it was up and time to get ready.

They were both bouncing off the walls. We put their costumes on, but didn't do up the make-up or anything and took them up to my family's. They were able to trick-or-treat early at my parents, my grandparents and my aunt's house. Of course, they were very spoiled there and their costumes were loved. My grandpa was so cute making sure to take all sorts of pictures and was sure to get one of the four of us.* Next it was off to Eli's parents where we would eat some yummy dinner and then get ready for the real thing. I may be very biased, but I have to say that they turned out absolutely precious. Seth's pirate costume turned out better than I had thought it would and Swae looked absolutely beautiful. I took all sorts of pictures, but won't be able to post them until Monday since my camera cord is there. Then you guys can see for yourselves.

They totally made out too. They scored all sorts of candy. There were even a couple houses that gave out the big size candy bars - I haven't seen that be done in years! We were out for just over an hour and it was a blast. They ran from house to house and hearing both of them pipe up and say, "Trick-or Treat" was awesome. And they both were good at saying "thank you" and "Happy Halloween" before turning to go to the next house. Ugh, if I were handing them candy, I would have melted. There were a few houses they were nervous to walk up to. It was so funny. Swae would take her time and Seth would lurk behind her. But once they got the candy, they were good to go.

This was by far one of the best Halloween's ever. Like Swae said, it was definitely one to remember. I hope everyone else had a fabulous Halloween.

*When Seth and Swae are around, we can't say "four" of us, we have to say five due to our little girl that is cooking. So cute that the baby is never left out and she hasn't even been welcomed into the world yet.

Belly Shot - 20 weeks 5 days

I seriously almost left the house without doing this. Then I figured if I was a couple minutes late, it would be worth it! The sweet girl is definitely starting to push my belly out. There is no hiding that I am pregnant...or getting bigger. I think that my belly now sticks out as far as my boobs finally!
She has definitely been a lot more active this last week. And I love it!!! It is so wonderful to feel her and even better to be able to say "she" and "her" instead of "baby"!! A little girl!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Floating!

That is me, floating still from my big news yesterday. Mesmerized with the thought of there being a little baby girl cooking inside me, imagining what she is going to look like, trying to keep all the images I saw yesterday ingrained in my mind. Oh how I love this little girl already. I have always wanted to be a mom, always dreamed of having my own children one day, being pregnant, doing it all. And my time is here and I have enjoyed every single second of it. I have been so incredibly blessed not having any sickness and feeling as well as I have. I realize that there are some months ahead of me that won't be as comfortable, but I am ready. I am ready for whatever it takes to cook my little princess and bring her into this world safe and healthy.

Tonight I am going to go with Tara to look at baby stuff. We might buy things, we might not. I don't really care at this point, I just want to go see all that there is out there. I want to start getting ideas and start visualizing how I want to decorate her little room. Oh this is going to be so much fun!

I am open to hearing the "must-haves" and recommendations.

And thank you all so much for your support and excitement. It means the world to me and has made me feel so good, so special. It is so nice to have so many people that care and want to share this experience with me. So, thank you...all of you!

Are You Ready For the NEWS!?!?!?!!!!!!!?

So, the wait at the doctor wasn't near what I thought it was going to be...I just made sure to talk a lot. So much that I didn't even hear my name being called the first time! Back I went to the scale, then I had to give a urine sample, and then it was a little wait before I was taken to a part of the doctor's office I have never been in. I can't even begin to explain the feeling I was having in my tummy...I was so excited...so ready to know the sex of the child growing inside of me.

The lady that did the sonogram was excellent. You could tell that she knew just what she was doing and what she was looking for. She was quick to find everything that she was looking for. It was impressive and so incredible to look at images of the brain, watch her measure the spine, to see the compartments of the heart. It was so indescribable seeing my baby. And then it was time...to see whether there were boy or girl parts. Luckily, the baby wasn't moving so we were able to get good shots of what was needed...other than a good face shot. It was a little frustrating because the baby had been so active ALL DAY LONG! Guess he/she was worn out and needed the nap. Alright on to what you are here for...

Are you ready to know what we found out!!?????!?????????????

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, maybe I shouldn't post since I can't scan the picture and just wait until tomorrow...

Give up????

It's....

GIRL!!!!!!!! :)

That's right. My baby has girl bits. Can you believe it? I was so excited. A wave of emotion like never before washed over me in that instant. It was something that I never even dreamed possible. We have ourselves a baby girl cooking. A little sweet angel. I can't stop smiling and thinking about it. It is so nice to know. I can't stop thinking about it and I am so excited to go shopping and start planning.

So good job for all of you that guessed girl. You were definitely the majority. There were only a handful of people that guessed boy. I know I have been saying that I haven't had a feeling and that was true up until today. And I think I only told two people what I actually woke up feeling and it was actually a girl. Pretty crazy huh? All night all I could think about was babies and for some reason, I just kept leaning toward a girl.

We got to tell the kids tonight too. We went straight from the doctor appointment to get them at daycare. When Swae saw us, the first thing that she did was run up and hug me and then ask if the baby was a boy or girl. How cute is that?? We didn't tell her there. Instead, we went out to dinner as a family and then asked the kids one more time what they thought the baby was. To both of our surprise, they both said a girl. And that was when Eli let them know they would be having a baby sister. I wish I could have recorded their faces lighting up. I never want to forget Swae reaching over and hugging me out of joy and excitement. Most of dinner there was talk about their baby sister. Seth even was talking about holding the baby girl! Huge step considering he said he could only hold girl babies! He is just too cute.

So, we have us a baby girl on the way. Our family of four, will now be a family of five with three girls and two boys. Ugh, I can't get over my excitement and pure happiness!

It's 2:20pm

And I only have ten more minutes until I lock up my office and head to the doctor. That is forty minutes until my scheduled appointment time. That means that I am right now so freaking excited, anxious, nervous, elated...that I am about to piss my pants or pass out or both...or something!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait. It seems the the majority of people are thinking I will hear that we are having a girl today. Funny how that is. Even people at work are guessing girl (all but two that is). Wow, so freaking crazy that I am going to know very, very soon.

Then telling the kids tonight. Oh my gosh! I can't wait. I hope neither one is let down or disappointed. After today, the planning and decorating begin. And the next time I am shopping and I see something cute, I just might be able to get it since I will know which direction I need to be going.

This is the most crazy feeling ever!

Friday - Family Time

Swae had a fundraiser for school and between my family and Eli's the girl got a ton of prizes for selling so much. She was so cute going around asking if anyone wanted to help her school out. And of course, everyone ate it up and the check books came flying out! There was actually some pretty cute things in there too. Friday, we took all of my family's stuff up to them and while we were there, the kids busted out Swae's prizes. The favorite...the one that shot a little rocket looking thing. Seth thought he was tough stuff until my dad took it from him!

He was ready to run and protect himself!
He got it back and wasn't going to let it go again.
The boy is a STRONG one! He loves showing off his "guns".
I love getting big kisses from my little man.
Swae holding my grandparents dog. She won't let go of that dog the entire time. She is such a love.
Seth took the time to shoot Papa while he was occupied talking to Daddy!
Papa tried taking his toy and hiding it, but he won that battle.
We had a great time visiting and the kids were spent after. Within a mile and a half on our way home, Seth was sacked out and we hadn't even eaten dinner yet! Once we got home we ate, went up to bed to watch a movie, and were all out for the count!

Hanging Around

As always, our weekend was packed with all sorts of fun things to do. Saturday morning, we went to see my boss's daughter cheerlead and hang out. And hanging out is exactly what my two little monkeys did!!!!

They were enjoying all the fun in the sun! Saturday was a beautiful day and we all enjoyed being out in the nice weather.

Fall Colors

Last Friday, I dropped a little something off to my best friend that had corrected eye surgery before she got home and I was just so amazed at the colors that filled her neighborhood...they are the same that I see all around when driving and I just can't get enough. I love this time of year simply for the sights. I don't like the cold, but I will take the gorgeous colors any day.

I want to get one of those trees that turn that beautiful red for our yard. So gorgeous!!!!

Take a Poll

It is time for all of you to go ahead and guess what you think this little bean is going to be! I have to be 100% honest and say that I am not leaning one way or the other. I can say that our families are mixed equally. Eli is saying boy and so is Seth. Swae holds firm on girl, even with getting all sorts of slack from her Daddy. So it is going to be interesting to see who is right!

And we will know just after 3pm tomorrow!!!!!

Blueberry Muffins

Swae has wanted to be the little helper in the kitchen lately. So last few times I have gone to the store, I have picked up something each time that her and I could do together - muffins, a cake, and brownies. Saturday night we decided to do the muffins so we could have them with breakfast on Sunday. Boy was she super excited. I didn't get pictures of her dumping in the ingredients or mixing because I was helping her, but was sure to have the camera out after. She was so proud.

Here she just got finished helping fill the little cups. All she could think about was dipping those little fingers of hers in to eat the batter!
Getting a taste of the yumminess before they got cooked.
Her finished product. She was so freaking excited. She wanted to eat them right then and there, but couldn't because we were just getting ready to eat.
And what a great dinner we had to Saturday night. Steak, potatoes, asparagus, and artichokes. I love that Swae and Seth eat their vegetables and they love asparagus lately. This is good because I too love it and find myself craving it often!

I love doing little things like this with her. It is times like these that I cherish and hold so tight to my heart. After dinner she snuggled up to me and asked if I could just cuddle her for a while. How could I possibly say no?? I couldn't. So we cuddled it up and boy did I love every minute of it!

Raider Game

After our little marriage ceremony, Eli and I packed our bags and were on our way to California. We didn't have a destination. We just knew that we wanted to get out of town. Initially we were going to go to San Francisco, but that didn't turn out so well since there was a huge marathon going on. We ended up back in Oakland where the last time we stayed, we had a fabulous time. The hotel we stay at is beautiful and very well kept. It is easy to get to and close to most everything. We went to eat at a fabulous restaurant (check out the menu). There is one in San Fran and one in Oakland. Our dinner was so good. And even though we stuffed ourselves silly, we saved room for some yummy berry sorbet. We weren't sure what we were going to do with ourselves for Sunday still, but we were alright flying by the seat of our pants. I then talked to my bestfriend who said that her parents would be at a Raider's game and since we had such a blast the last time we went to a game, we were all excited to go. We didn't have tickets, but that didn't stop us from getting up, getting ready and heading to the stadium. It was easy to find someone who happened to have two extra tickets and we lucked out because the seats were freaking awesome, yet again. The day was gorgeous. Sunny and warm. And we were together and married...and it was just PERFECT.

Mr. & Mrs. Walker =)

Love This Picture

My mom is always going on and on about how I always have my camera and yet, I never seem to get any pictures of her with the kiddos. We went up there on Friday night and I made a point of taking my camera out of my purse. Before we even got in the door, she met us outside and the kids were all over her. It was so cute and so sweet. And I think that the picture turned out fabulous of all three of them!

They do love their "Mima"!

We Did It

Eli and I got married...almost a week ago. October 18, 2008. And I am so very proud to be the Mrs. Walker!!!!

While I am sure that this comes and a surprise to most, it was something that we have been thinking about and contemplating since we found out that I was pregnant. We have known for quite some time (not long after getting together) that we wanted to marry each other, have a family, and spend our lives together. While we would have not gotten married so soon, we had many things other than ourselves to think about. I would have been alright having a baby out of wedlock, but it wasn't my first choice or how I had "planned" it. I wouldn't change getting pregnant for the world, or anything else for that matter.

So after many discussions, we decided it was time...our time. And it just so happened that our "special" day, the 18th, was right around the corner. The ceremony was very simple, but perfect for us. We had our parents and our sisters there and then went to spend the rest of the weekend in California as a mini honeymoon. I was so excited, so happy. I couldn't stop smiling and still can't. I feel so complete. I love catching a glimpse of his hand and seeing his wedding band. I love everything about it and all the feelings. We will still be having our wedding July 18. So we will have two very special days to celebrate.

The kids were beyond excited when we told them what we did. Swae can't get over having a "step-mom" and proudly tells people all about it. Even while using her spelling words in a sentence, she is sure to bring it up. It is cute.

So there you have it. I am a married woman. CRAZY!! I went today and got my name changed officially and everything. Such an incredible, indescribable feeling. I couldn't be more happy - a fabulous husband, two kiddos, and a bun in the over. So much to look forward to!

Swae's Surprise

When I got my nails done last week, she hadn't gotten her Halloween stickers in yet. I was disappointed and still went with orange and black. We both joked that she would probably get them in right after I left and sure enough, she did. So she scheduled me to come in on Tuesday afternoon so she could just do two nails with the fun stickers. Knowing Tuesday is a day that we would have the kiddos, I asked if I could bring Swae with me for her nails to get done. Of course she said yes and was super excited...I was too!!!

Tuesday came and Eli was sick. He ended up going home early from work and I had the car seats in my car. So I had a fabulous idea to go grab Seth from daycare and then we would surprise Swae and pick her up from school...and then head off to her surprise. My plan worked out great. Seth was super excited and Swae's little face lit up when she was that we were waiting for her. I then told her we were on our way to a surprise for just her. Initially, Seth was going to be with Eli, so I let him know he could get a surprise when we were done with Swae's and that he just had to be a good boy.

We pulled up and Swae was still confused. Not until we were walking in was she able to look in the window and then shouted, "I'm getting my nails done!!!!" It was cute and she was clearly excited. In we went where she was able to pick out her nail polish on her own and then pick her own stickers for two of her fingers. There were so many cute things to choose from: pumpkins, bats, spiders, spider webs, and skulls. The girl wanted skulls. Not one and the something different on the other hand. Nope, two skulls. So much like her daddy!!

Once her decision was made she climbed up in her chair and was ready to let Lisa get to work. Look how cute she is! We had painted her nails the week before so Lisa was taking off her polish.
Here she is getting them all nice and pretty. I meant to get a final shot, but spaced it. I will try to remember to do that tonight. She was such a good girl. She held so still...other than the hiccups she had. So funny.
And Seth did great. He wasn't so sure what to do with all the lady attention, but then had some candy and decided to ham it up for some attention.
Such a sweet little face!
After we were done, we headed to Target where Seth picked out some pumpkin bowls, a pair of Mater socks and Lightning McQueen socks, and an airplane. He was stoked. Oh and they picked out a fruity soda to have this coming weekend for fun. I so enjoyed our little time together, but had an even better time when we were all together as a family for the rest of the night...even if Daddy wasn't feeling good.

You're not the only one with cute belly

This was the title of an email I received this morning after I sent out a mass email to our family and friends of the new belly picture. Upon opening, there were no other words written, just a picture attached. I opened it and immediately was laughing. I was alone in my office rolling. See for yourself!
My best friend's boyfriend decided he needed to show of his "baby" bump. hahahahaha!!! So freaking cute and funny. It really made my morning. I needed the laugh. How cute. I am so lucky and fortunate to have such wonderful friends that are so involved and care so much about what is going on.

Belly Shot - 19 weeks 5 days

I was running late this morning and almost forgot to take the picture. Then I remembered my mom telling me that her friend said that she will be waiting for it and her friend is going through some really hard, sad stuff right now. Hopefully this cheers her day (when I email it that is!).

I can tell that it is definitely growing and taking on a different shape. The itching hasn't been too bad the last couple of days. It could be because I have been doing the Vitamin E oil after the shower and then lubing up with Cocoa Butter throughout the day. Some of my tighter pants on my not pregnant days are starting to get a LOT tighter. Not too tight that I can't wear them, but I am really noticing a difference. I don't know that I am ready to start buying bigger clothes yet!!!
I have been feeling a ton of movement. It has been so wonderful. There are so many times that I will be in the middle of a conversation and will have to stop mid-word or sentence just to take it in. I love it!!!! I drank orange juice yesterday morning and it was like crack for the little one. It was such an incredible feeling. 4 1/2 months already. Just about half way there. So insane!!! Eli and I have been talking a lot about names and I think we have decided on a girl name and are just trying to agree on a middle name. The boy name we are having a hard time with. The names I like, he doesn't like. There have only been a couple names he has liked that I have not liked at all and then the others I do like, just not as much as the one I like! :) I know we will figure it out and after Tuesday, we will know for sure what we are having and what kind of name we need. I can't wait!!!!!

A Little Fun for the Day

The Caffeine Click Test - How Caffeinated Are You?

This is funny because I haven't had ANY caffiene to today. I can only wonder what it would be had I had some.

BOO Fun!

I just got a "BOO" at work. I ran down the hall to use the bathroom. On the way back, I stopped in my boss's office to chat, like usual, and when I came back to my office, there was a cute little Halloween bag with the "BOO" and instructions. People have really enjoyed this at the office. Now I need to figure out who my next victim will be!!!! :)

One More Week

I just ate some breakfast and the baby is now going nuts. I guess he/she likes what I had...yummy Cocoa Puffs. I know, not the most nutritional or healthy, but oh so good. And obviously, I am not the only one that liked them! The box is now empty though so the rest of the week will either be Honey Nut Cheerios or Golden Grahams.

I love feeling the baby moving around. I love that the movements are getting stronger which assures me that the baby is getting bigger and stronger. Just one more week until we find out. I am beyond elated. I just can't wait!!!

My belly must be growing or something because it has been itching something fierce. I feel like I need to drink even more water to help with the expansion of it all. I have been faithful about lubing the tummy and boobs up with Vitamin E oil every morning after my shower (thank you Jen!!). I can only hope that this will help with the stretch marks. I know they say nothing helps and you are going to get them or not...but I like to think that my efforts are going to make a difference! My mom didn't get any stretch marks with my sister or me. I got stretch marks on my thighs growing up. I was always one of the tallest kids and then one day stopped growing and everyone else passed me up. So I think they are a result of growing too fast. I just don't want them every where because I already am self conscious of the ones that I do have (although not really noticeable I am told).

So, I don't think it will be too much longer until I actually start looking like I am pregnant and not just carrying around a couple extra pitchers of beer in my stomach. Over the weekend, Eli told someone that I was four months pregnant and they didn't believe him and then started asking a ton of questions. It was funny. I have been starting to stock up on some "bigger" clothes, just larger sizes for now. All my winter warm stuff won't be lasting much longer, not to mention, I don't have much of it. I am enjoying getting some new things, just not the $$$ it takes to get them...ugh, I am so cheap.

That is all for now in the baby department until the belly shot on Thursday. Hope every one's week is going well so far.

He Melts My Heart

I honestly can't put words to the love and feelings I have for this man. He is the most special person and the best thing that has happened to me. We have come so far and each day we grow more and more together. He is my best friend, my soul mate, my lover...my everything.

Ugh, I just love him and could eat him up!

Megan from Yellow Polka Dotted Slugs - I absolutely adore this woman's love for her husband and family. She has a heart of gold and you can tell how much she cares for the people in her life in every post that she writes. She has proven herself to be a wonderful person and a great friend.

Multi-Tasking Momma - a very sweet person, cracks me up constantly and definitely someone that loves her family and enjoys life to the fullest. Not one to get up and dance and be wild.

Jennifer from Just Jiff - a great person and one that I have found I have so much in common with. She is great and a new mommy (although a step-mom) and doing such a fantastic job.

Belly Shot - 18 weeks 5 days

I am sorry that I am or was a space cadette yesterday. I don't know what happened. And then this morning has totally gotten away from me. I have gotten a ton done though, so that is good. Here she be though.

To me, there is no hiding that there is a belly growing. I still don't think that I look "pregnant" but know that time is coming. I went into my sister's work the other day and the her friends were complimenting how much her and I look alike and one asked if I was only a year older than her! haha! Then her manager asked if I needed a job and wanted to offer me a manager job. I guess my sister told them I had a job and then informed them I was four months pregnant and no one believed her. She is so proud. She can't wait to hold her little neice/nephew in her arms. She is sure to always tell me how good and cute I look. And she has been shopping around for maternity clothes. I guess she found a top that she loved, but they didn't have it in a medium to fit me. How cute is that? I don't have a lot of warm clothes, which I am needing right now. So I am slowly but surely stocking up on some things.

I am still feeling fabulous. Still have lots of energy. I am able to go, go, go all day, but I crash at night. I keep hearing that the energy level is going to soon change, so for the time being I am just enjoying it and getting in everything I want to while I can. Yesterday I had to give into my Taco Bell craving. I had been craving it for days and kept pushing it off. And I realized that I would just eat to try to satisfy the craving and never felt full. So I gave in. I didn't eat a huge meal by any means, so that was good. I kept the portion small and let me just tell you, I felt so great after and completely satisfied.

I can't believe that I am almost 19 weeks. Where has the time gone????

500...WOW!!!!

Since this is my 500th post (Holy CRAP!!!!!), I figured it only fitting to show off the three most important people in my life. These were from last Saturday afternoon/evening.

(note: the Coors Light isn't Seth's although it looks like it)
I didn't get a picture of the finished product. I don't know what I was thinking. But it turned out fantastic! The kids were super stoked and we were sure to get it lit and take them outside to see it.
Also, it was brought to my attention by a friend who reads my blog (she doesn't have her own) that I didn't post my belly shot. I don't know what happened. Other than I was running late this morning and the last thing I thought about was my belly! I am sorry. I will be sure to take one tomorrow morning and get it up first thing. It makes me so happy to know that people are interested in seeing how much my little bean is growing. My friend who is a month ahead of me just found out that she is having a boy! I am beyond excited for her and her husband and it makes me even more excited and anxious to find out for myself!
I hope every one's week has been going well.

We Got a..."BOO"

After all the running around and leaving goodies for other people, Swae was beyond curious about when she would be getting something...which of course led to Seth wanting a surprise too. I don't know what made me look, but first thing on Saturday morning, I opened up the front door to see that we had a nice little surprise! I closed the door back and up and then let the kids go and grab the package. When I told them to go look and see what was there, Swae piped up, "Did someone leave us some goodies too!?!?!!!"

The door was opened and their little squeals were too cute. They couldn't wait to open it up to see what was inside.

A whole slew of candy. They loved the chewy kind of candy. They were body parts (feet, ears, etc). And at 8:45am, they wanted to dive right in. While I didn't want to disappoint them, I told them they at least needed to eat breakfast first!
I told them we now had to do two more houses. All they could think about was that they would be getting more. I couldn't quite get them to understand that we started it and we have gotten one and that is all that we will get for this year.

Oh and how cute is our pumpkin bowl? It looks fabulous on my island. Eli and I picked out one to put out for Thanksgiving as well. It is a beautiful looking green leaf. I love it and can't wait to use it.

Pumpkin Patch - 10/11/08

Here are the pictures of our adventure at the pumpkin patch. Friday night, we took the kids to get them some warm winter jackets. They definitely came in handy since it was SNOWING and super freaking cold all weekend. And they love them because they were able to pick them out.

Our sweeties sitting looking cute as ever! Aren't those some cute jackets?Seth showing off the mini pumpkins he picked out for him and Daddy.
Swae showing off the ones she picked for her and I (the baby's is already in the wagon). Is she not just so flippin' beautiful??
Like I said, it got chilly when the wind came up, so she snuggled up in her hood. Daddy was giving them a ride to the truck.
Check out those big pumpkins they picked out!!
They did good and had a great time. They couldn't wait to get home and have Daddy carve one of them. Those pictures will be coming soon.
